This story is about a young woman working as a journalist on a rag magazine. They will print just about anything, whether it is true or not but really like to have a little bit of proof since they have been sued so often. They need a big juicy story or they are going under. So, this reporter is sent to a small island where a big Hollywood screenwriter is living to try and get inside info on the rumor that he is dating a big married Hollywood star. She lucks out and winds up in his villa posing as a nanny.Naturally she falls for the guy and finds favor with his two daughters which helps her case to stay in the house once she is found out. The family seems like a sweet one and she starts to feel bad about what she is doing. And then the Hollywood star pops in for a visit!! The story goes back and forth as to whether she is going to print what she knows or give up that kind of reporting and do something she can be proud of. It is an interesting story with the usual "bad" gal in it. It is an easy read.
SPOILER - I found the heroine to be a bit stupid! she has lived in New York, reported for a magazine, traveled all over the world, etc. yet she believes her own press. She knows they print lies but she so ready to believes anything she reads. She was as insecure as a rat in a house full of cats. I was very quickly starting to dislike this girl. I did quit reading after VV starts spewing venom and SHE believes it. That was just the final straw for me. Not my favorite book by any means but I would not want to to discourage anyone else from reading it. Obviously other readers loved it, so it is just a matter of taste. So, I would recommend that you give it a try and then make up your own mind.

I haven't read many books that have cute concepts and then romantic moments. I just think this had a great all around theme and great storyline.
